XCELL® Free-Standing Irradiation Systems

The KUBTEC® XCELL® series of X-ray irradiators with optional cabinet X-ray imaging are versatile and powerful machines with applications in small animal and cell research, as well as agriculture and forestry sciences.
KUBTEC’s full-size, free-standing X-ray irradiator systems offer a large chamber size with room to efficiently irradiate the widest range of samples. It is used to irradiate organic and inorganic specimens and material components. The KUBTEC XCELL freestanding irradiator systems are available in three models: XCELL 160, XCELL 225, and XCELL 320. Additionally, our systems can be equipped with a radiographic detector to provide two additional imaging interfaces and capabilities: high-resolution X-ray imaging and high-definition optical imaging.

X-ray Imaging Capability
The free-standing irradiators have an additional capability of being used as an X-ray imaging system. Researchers can utilize DIGICOM 2D software to image their specimen and use the optical camera feature for validating specimen placement.

The 0.25" thick transparent plastic anesthetizing box allows for constant observation while anesthetizing. It helps protect against accidental overdosing. For use with rodents.

Pie Cage
They are circular cages that can hold up to 11 mice for whole-body irradiation. They can also be used for temporary transport or storage of animals for acute studies. It is easy to clean and use.

Partial Body Irradiation Restrainer
Used to isolate an area for irradiation, restricting overall movement of the mouse. The restrainers are utilized to keep the rodents in one position, so they don't move during the irradiation process. Easily disinfected.

Partial Body Irradiation Shield
It is used to isolate one area of the rodent, restricting overall radiation to the whole body. The shield is not suitable for 360-degree irradiation and is limited for use in units that produce energies less than 350kVp (X-ray). The fixtures are to be used with fixed beam X-ray sources projecting vertically.
